HYDERABAD: Murder in ‘fake encounter’ alleged

HYDERABAD, Sept 11: Protesting parents and relatives of a young man killed in ‘police encounter’ on Monday demanded of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take a suo moto notice of killing of an innocent boy.

They had brought the dead body from the Civil Hospital handed to them by the Market Police last night.

Our son Fateh Muhammad Brohi was a transporter owning three vehicles as such he was not involved in motorcycle snatching, said his father Saeed Khan Brohi and mother Lal Khatoon. They linked the killing to tribal enmity with one DSP Ayub Durrani and alleged him of staging a fake encounter to kill their son.

Ayub Durrani had lodged false cases against our son at various police stations and was looking for an opportunity to kill him, they alleged.

The parents demanded judicial probe into the killing asking the CJP to take suo moto notice of the incident and punish those police officers who murdered their son, including the DSP Ayub Durrani.

The Market Police claimed of killing Fateh Muhammad Brohi as according to them he was a robber trying to snatch a motorcycle at the A-One roundabout near the Tower Market.

Police claimed his other accomplice escaped while one of their constables Abdul Salam was also injured.—PPI
