HARIPUR: Killer of two blind brothers arrested
HARIPUR, Oct 6: The Haripur police on Saturday arrested a man on the charge of killing two blind brothers.
According to sources, few days ago two blind brothers - Hafiz Mohammad Niaz, General Secretary of Blind Association, Hazara, and Hafiz Mohammad Bhai - were allegedly attacked by their cousin Mohammad Amin while they were returning to their home after offering Maghrib prayers.
As a result, Hafiz Mohammad Niaz died on the spot, while Hafiz Mohammad Bhai was critically injured and was taken to a hospital by the passersby. Amin managed to flee after the incident.
Later, after a protest launched by the area people the police started raiding various places and arrested Amin from his hideout in a remote village.
During investigations, Amin admitted that he killed two brothers with his gun. On his pointation police recovered weapon used in the attack. A case has been registered against him. —PPI
