ABBOTTABAD: Varsity fails to announce results on time

ABBOTTABAD, Oct 26: The Hazara University has yet to announce the results of BCom even though examinations were held four months ago, which has raised concerns among students.

The majority of students who intended to get admissions in MBA and other higher classes have missed the chance due to the pending results of BCom (Part-I, II, and III) as the universities have closed the admission process for the current academic session.

The students said that the delay in the announcement of results had cost them one academic year. They demanded of the provincial governor, who is also chancellor of the university, to direct the university administration to declare the results immediately.

Previously, BCom results used to be announced a month after the completion of annual examinations but this year the results had yet to be announced even though the examinations had concluded on June 28.

It has been learnt that two papers were cancelled after they had been leaked out and were held again, while sources alleged that the roll number slips of some students were missing which caused the delay. However, insiders said that some examiners had not returned the checked papers to examination authorities of the university.

At least 12 students who were admitted to the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants for the first professional were not allowed by the ICMA due to not submitting their BCom results.
