MARDAN: Rocket fired on police station

MARDAN, Nov 5: A rocket was fired on the Jabbar police station on Sunday night, which damaged its building and also a van parked on the premises. No loss of life was reported.

Sources said that miscreants fired a rocket from an unknown place, which hit the police station in the Jabbar village, some 10 kilometres away from here. They started firing after attacking the police station.

The District Police Officer of Mardan, Mohammad Yamin Khan, ASP Pervez Umrani and DSP Farid Hussain Bangash reached the spot along with a heavy contingent of police and cordoned off the spot.
