HYDERABAD: Man shot dead while Resisting robbery

HYDERABAD, Nov 15: Armed robbers shot dead a labourer when he tried to stop them from looting a man in the jurisdiction of Pinyari police station here on Thursday.

Police said that Umer Abbasi, the labourer, rushed to Mohammad Farooq who was crying for help after the armed robbers deprived him of Rs25,000.

As the robbers saw Mr Abbasi they opened fire on him point blank before fleeing with the loot. He died on the spot.

The criminals started following their target after he drew cash from the MCB Bank in Cloth Market and confronted him in Phuleli area.

Police have lodged a case against unidentified bandits.
