Lloyd to manage West Indies

ST JOHN’S (Antigua), Nov 18: The Board of Directors of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) approved the appointment of former captain Clive Lloyd as manager of the West Indies team for their forthcoming tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Opening batsman Chris Gayle will captain the team in place of injured Ramnaresh Sarwan.

The West Indies will play two one-dayers at Harare Sports Club on November 30 and December 2 and three more at Queen’s Sports Club in Bulawayo on December 5, 7 and 9.

They will later tour South Africa for three Tests and five One-Day Internationals from December.—Agencies
