Daska without gas for nine days
SIALKOT, Dec 18: Dwellers of over 200 houses in the Wahab Masjid locality at Daska have been going through a torrid time for the last nine days owing to the suspension of gas supply.
Residents are forced to use gas cylinders, kerosene oil and timber as fuel to cope with the situation.
A group of affected residents told reporters on Tuesday that they had time and again brought the matter to the notice of Sialkot-based SNGPL officials, but to no avail. “Officials have no excuse except to say that they are finding the ‘technical fault’ in the main gas supply line to Daska”, they said.
The SNGPL staff said that besides the technical fault the gas pressure had also dropped to a great extent in Daska and its outskirts on account of its excessive use. — Correspondent
