Zondeki pace wrecks West Indies

EAST LONDON (South Africa), Dec 20: The West Indies were bowled out for 193 on the first day of their four-day match against South Africa ‘A’ at the Buffalo Park on Wednesday.

The visitors, who chose to bat first, were undone by paceman Monde Zondeki who claimed five wickets for 39. Runako Morton top-scored for the West Indies with 54 while tail-enders Darren Sammy and Rawl Lewis chipped in with 40 apiece.

South Africa ‘A’, in reply, reached 78 for one at the close of play with captain Neil McKenzie 43 not out.
