England fined for slow over-rate

LONDON, Dec 24: England captain Michael Vaughan has been fined 40 percent of his match fee for his side’s slow over rate in the drawn third Test against Sri Lanka, the ICC said on Monday.

Vaughan’s side were ruled to be four overs short of its target by match referee Jeff Crowe when time allowances were taken into consideration during the rain-hit match in Galle.

The rest of the squad were fined 20 percent of their match fee.
