HYDERABAD: Industrial zones

HYDERABAD, Jan 15: The chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Capital Cottage Industrial Corporation urged the president and the prime minister on Tuesday to instruct the provincial governments to select suitable places connected with roads in all the districts for the establishment of industrial zones.

In a press statement Haji Mohammad Amin Khatri said that he had already approached Sindh’s former senior minister for finance to take personal interest in the establishment of a capital cottage industrial zone near Zeal Pak Cement Factory and spare some time for the advisory committee to finalise the project.

Mr Khatri said that Japan, China and many other developed countries had set up cottage industries in their districts to build a strong base for industrial development and the idea produced remarkable results.

The Sindh’s Board of Revenue had moved a summary for Hyderabad on February 16, 2005 which was still pending with the secretary of the provincial industries department, he said.
