HYDERABAD: Interviews for admissions

HYDERABAD, Jan 16: The director, graduate studies, University of Sindh, has notified a list of candidates eligible to appear for interview for enrolment in MS/MPhil programme 2008, which includes Commerce, Botany, Environmental Science, Economics, Pharmaceutics, Sindh Development Studies, Political Science, Sindhi, Islamic Culture, Library Science, Urdu, English Language, Management Sciences, Centre for Health and Physical Education, Freshwater Biology and Fisheries, International Relations, Physics and Sociology.

Candidates have been advised to contact the directors of the departments and institutes concerned and chairpersons of the departments for their interviews. Those candidates who have already qualified the GRE (general) conducted by the NTS have also been advised to contact their institutes and departments for interviews.

HOSTEL ALLOTMENT: The University of Sindh has put up a list of hostel allotment for new students (both sexes) admitted in various disciplines of the Bachelors and Masters degree programme 2008.

According to the announcement by Dr M. Siddique Kalhoro, the hostel management, in the light of application forms submitted by new students has allotted hostel accommodation in various hostels. The list of candidates has been displayed on the notice board of the provost office for boys and at the Marui Hostel for girl students.

The students concerned have been advised to deposit hostel allotment fee through a bank challan at the HBL Jamshoro branch by Jan 31.

The university has also announced a list of hostel re-allotment to those students who are already on rolls in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and final year. Students are required to deposit hostel allotment fee up to Jan 23.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATES: The director, Institute of English, University of Sindh, has announced here on Wednesday that students who have obtained first class in MA English to submit complete curriculum vitae at the institute up to Jan 31.

He has further announced that the services of qualified students would be placed at the disposal of the faculty of natural sciences and faculty of pharmacy to serve as research associates. Interested candidates have been advised to visit the university’s website at www.usindh.edu.pk.
