SANGHAR: Two freed from lock-up

SANGHAR, Jan 25: The civil judge raided the Sanghar police station on Thursday and recovered two men who had been lodged in lock-up though no FIR was registered against them.

Civil judge Yousuf Malik conducted the raid on the directives of district and sessions judge, Sanghar, Ghulam Qadir Leghari. He had issued the directive on an application of a woman, Ms Fatima, who stated that her son Khair Mohammad Nizamani and grandson Mehboob had been kept in illegal confinement at the police station.

The civil judge set the two men free and ordered the police officials concerned to attend the court of the district and sessions judge on Friday with related documents.
