HYDERABAD: ANP holds govt responsible for Charsadda blast
The leaders the party’s Sindh chapter, Lala Aurangzeb Khan, Haji Asmatullah Khan Mehsood, Haji Sher Zaman and Syed Nisar Shah, accused the government of being involved in all acts of terrorism, not only in the NWFP but all over the country.
They said that nothing good should be expected from this government as long as Pervez Musharraf was in power. The government could not absolve itself of the responsibility by declaring the blasts were caused by suicide attack, they said.
People had now become fully aware that the government was using the pretext of terrorism to prolong its rule, they said.
They said that ANP believed in non-violence and was against extremism but it could not remain silent on the genocide of its people. Charsadda bomb attack was a target-killing as the provincial head of the party, Afraseyab Khan Khattak had already reached the venue while Asfandyar Wali was about to come, they said.
In Karachi also the provincial vice president of the party, Fazul Rehman Akakhel and Samad Afridi, were killed in target-killing while Tariq Tareen was seriously injured, they said.
