Rioting hits Turkish town

DIYARBAKIR, Feb 16: Rioters chanting slogans in support of the Kurdistan Workers Party smashed shop windows and damaged cars in southeastern Turkey on Saturday after the funeral of a teenager.

The 15-year-old boy died after being hit on the head by a stone during a protest marking the ninth anniversary of the capture of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan.—Reuters
