MINGORA, Feb 25: A police constable was on Monday gunned down by unknown assailants at Green Chowk, Mingora city.

The police constable identified as Ali Akber was on routine duty when unknown miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on him, police official said adding that he was rushed to the district headquarters hospital Saidu Sharif, where the doctors pronounced him dead.
