LAHORE, Feb 29: Former Punjab chief minister Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo is likely to be appointed new governor of the province, unconfirmed reports say.

A PML-Q leader elected as an MNA from two Okara constituencies, Wattoo is very close to President Pervez Musharraf as well as the PPP leadership. However, Wattoo said he was not aware of any such move. — Political Correspondent
