HYDERABAD: SU test for admission to MS, M.Phil

HYDERABAD, March 2: The University of Sindh conducted admissions test to MS/MPhil degree programme for academic session 2008 on Sunday.

The tests were held at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences (IMCS) at Allama I.I. Kazi Campus Jam-shoro under Sindh University Testing Centre for Admissions and Employment.

Of the 104 candidates, 76 men and 28 women appeared for admission to five disciplines. The university conducted MCQ type test of 100 questions within duration of one and half hour comprising three portions which included subject knowledge, English language and simple arithmetic.

The result of the test was announced within a half an hour with the help of university’s new Optical Marks Reader machine (OMR) and also displayed on the official website at www.usindh.edu.pk.

According the result announced, three candidate out of seven in Geology, five candidates out of 17 in Mathematics, five out of 26 candidates in Chemistry and 16 out of 27 in Zoology secured required score to qualify.

Among 27 candidates who appeared for test in Computer Science not a single candidate secured required score.—Bureau
