SUKKUR: Ghotki police unmoved over kidnappings

SUKKUR, March 7: Ghotki police have failed to recover 13 people who were kidnapped from different parts of the district during last one and half month.

Four persons, including Yar Mohammad Mazari, Imamuddin Mazari, Allah Dino Arain and Zulfiqar Arain, were kidnapped from Mureed Shakh five days ago, while primary teacher Gul Mohammad Abbasi, was kidnapped from Khanpur Muhalla, Ubauro, one and a half month ago whose whereabouts is still not known.

Gul Ram, Amar Lal, Kailash, Pardeep Kumar and Nazir Dhondho, were kidnapped between Mirpur Mathelo and Reharki 20 days ago while Bhoro Leghari and Lahooti Shaikh were kidnapped from near Lohi Pull in the jurisdiction of Yaroo Lund police station three days ago.

Besides, Eiden Lashari, resident of Islam Lashari village in the jurisdiction of Bello Mirpur police station, was also kidnapped three days ago.

The Ghotki police are unmoved despite a series of protest demonstrations staged by the relatives of the kidnapped victims.

BODY RECOVERED: Body of Liaqat Ali Pitafi was recovered from near Achhi Kubion, Rohri, on Friday morning.

He was kidnapped from Dubbar police limits, near Rohri five days ago.

According to the reports, Liaqat Ali son of Ilm Din Pitafi 25, was kidnapped from Dubbar police limits, near Rohri, five days ago. Police shifted his body to taluka hospital for post mortem. According to the police, Liaqat Ali Pitafi’s body had marks of three bullets.

However, no case was registered till the filing of this report.

PROTEST: A large number of residents of Thull held a protest demonstration and staged a sit-in at the Thull-Jacobabad road on Friday, against kidnapping of two villagers from Khamiso Bambul village late on Thursday night.

Abdul Jabbar Bambul and Mohammad Sharif Bambul were sleeping at an agricultural land, when a group of armed bandits appeared on the scene, and kidnapped them at gunpoint and fled. After covering some distance, the bandits freed Mohammad Sharif Bambul near Jara Wah and took away Abdul Jabbar Bambul with them.
