MITHI: PPP activist freed after two months

MITHI, March 14: A PPP activist and an arch rival of Arbabs, Mohammad Khan Lund was released from judicial lockup on Friday as Sindh

High Court, Hyderabad bench granted bail to him in two cases.

Booked by Diplo police in arson and riot activities after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto he remained in Diplo jail for more than two months.

A good number of PPP leaders and activists, including Wali Mohammad Rahoomo, Giyanchand and other took Mohammad Khan Lund in a big rally to Kaloi after his release from judicial lockup.

FIRE: Three houses were gutted when a fire broke out in Meghwar Mohalla, Diplo, on Thursday.

Dowry of girls and other household items were reduced to ashes.

The affected families living under open sky have urged the authorities for assistance.
