NAWABSHAH: Bodies of slain lady doctor, mother found
NAWABSHAH, April 4: Two dead bodies of mother and daughter have been found in a house in Mohini Bazaar, on Friday.
The bodies were said to be two days’ old and bore torture marks. Mukhtar Begum, 62, was a retired school teacher and her daughter Shah Fatima 30, a doctor.
Police received information from the neighbours of deceased that their gate was opened for last two days and they had not seen any movement of mother or daughter after which SPO city, Aslam Langah reached the spot along with police contingent.
SPO told journalists that they found one body in bathroom and the other in bedroom. He said that both bodies bore torture marks and necks were cut with a sharp weapon. He further said that the incident seems to be over an enmity as no valuables were stolen.
He said that while entering the house, they found newspapers of Wednesday and Thursday which indicates that the bodies were two days old. He further informed that the deceased Mukhtiar Begum was not in good terms with her in-laws and she was living in this house with her daughter after the death of her husband.
DPO Rukhsar Khawar, MPA Tariq Masood and officials of other agencies also reached the spot. The bodies were taken to Nawabshah Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
ELECTROCUTED: A teenaged girl was electrocuted in NMC Employees Colony on Friday. The deceased Rahat Bibi 14, touched the electricity board in her house in NMC Employees Colony and received heavy current.
INJURED: Twelve passengers were injured when the van they were travelling in overturned due to breaking of tie-rod on Sanghar Road.
