HYDERABAD: Hesco regularises 738 employees

HYDERABAD, May 1: To mark the International Labour Day, the Hesco chief executive officer has regularised the services of 738 temporary employees of the company.

The orders to this effect were issued on the eve of May Day.

In his message to the workers, Hesco chief Guftar Ahmed Anjum said that 738 technical and non-technical temporary employees had been confirmed in service and expressed the hope that they will work hard to improve the performance of the company and adopt friendly attitude towards consumers.

Hesco Human Resources and Administration Director Sohail Ahmed Khatian said that a committee had been constituted to regularise the services of the contract employees and on its recommendations the services of the employees were regularised on merit.

CPSP: The regional director of the Hyderabad centre for College of Physician and Surgeon, Pakistan, Prof Abdul Sattar Memon, has announced that the CPSP regional centre in Hyderabad will start functioning from July 1.

According to the announcement, a year-round course in basic medical sciences had been planned in which three short courses would be organised. Prof Abdus Sattar and Prof Abdul Ghani Siddiqui will be the overall supervisors while senior professors including those from Liaquat and Isra medical universities will impart training to postgraduate students.

A short intensive course in general surgery is scheduled for May 5, at the regional centre.

Candidates who will be appearing in FCPS-I examination will benefit from the programme.

The timing for the course has been arranged in such a way that even general practitioners and other doctors already engaged in jobs could join the course.

Professor Memon has made it clear that due to limited capacity, participants will be registered on first come first serve basis.
