_— Feb 3, 2008: 45 people killed and thousands homeless after a 6.1 intensity quake hit eastern Congo and western Rwanda.

— March 6, 2007: 70 die in the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

— May 27, 2006: 6,000 killed and 1.5 million homeless in Indonesia’s Yogyakarta region.

— Oct 8, 2005: A quake measuring 7.6 kills more than 75,000 people in Azad Kashmir and NWFP. Some 3.5 million displaced.

— March 28, 2005: Quake leaves 900 dead on Indonesia’s Nias island off Sumatra.

— Dec 26, 2004: A massive undersea earthquake off the coast of Sumatra island triggers a tsunami which kills 220,000 in countries around the Indian Ocean, including 168,000 in Indonesia.

— Dec 26, 2003: 32,000 die, 18,000 injured in Bam, Iran. Intensity 6.7
