KARACHI, May 16: Seven vessels carrying wheat, containers and to load rice are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Lucky Arrow to load cement, Orient Stride, Kota Perdama, Y.M. Moji, Rhonegorg, Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers, Normed Amsterdam to unload and load general cargo and Meg, an oil tanker, were berthed.

Sailing was also active as APL Dalian, Heluga Fanfare, Bonga Melati Satu, Hyin Jin Ks-3, Oriental Freesia, Alfic, Lalazar and Fu Ning Hai left the port, while Rhoneborg, Blida, Normed Amsterdam, Calvin P. Titus, Y.M. Moji and Lucky Arrow are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 142,000 tons comprising 41,202 tons of export cargo, notably cement and clinkers and 100,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Zahra-4 to load rice and cement, Wilson to offload imported wheat, Kuo Lung, Hansa Liberty, Harmony, Oel Trust and Sima Sahba with containers.
