JACOBABAD: Woman killed, three hurt in tribal clash

JACOBABAD, May 29: A woman was killed and three others sustained injuries in a clash between Bhayo and Chachar tribes late on Wednesday night.

Reports said that Chachar tribesmen attacked Bhayo village in the jurisdiction of Karampur police station of Kashmore, leading to an exchange of fire in which Matul, 28, was killed when she was asleep at her home and three others were injured.

Kandhkot DSP Abdul Haq Qureshi reached the village with heavy contingents of police but the attackers had fled by then. Police handed over the body to relatives after post-mortem.

The deceased’s husband, Manzoor Ahmed Bhayo, lodged an FIR against Niazoo Chachar and two unidentified men at Karampur police station on Thursday.

The feud has so far claimed six lives.
