Lara urges youngsters to learn from Aussies

PORT-OF-SPAIN (Trinidad), June 6: Young cricketers must learn from Australia, currently the world’s top-ranked team, if they want to be successful in the sport.

This was recommended by former West Indies batting maestro Brian Lara, at the formal opening of a workshop hosted by the Australian Sports Outreach Programme (ASOP), in collaboration with the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) here.

“First of all, you must learn from the best, and Australia is the best cricket team in the world,” Lara said.

Players from Trinidad and Tobago and three other Caribbean states will benefit from the workshop.—Agencies
