PML-N workers protest LHC ruling

FATEHJANG, June 27: Pak istan Muslim League (N) workers on Friday staged a protest rally against the disqualification of their party Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif by Lahore High Court from taking part in by-election.

Thousands of PML N, PPP, Jamat-i-islam, Tehrik-i-Insaf workers and Advocates of Bar Association of Fatehjang also joined the protesters to show solidarity with them.

The protesters gathered near main chowk, old bus stand and chanted slogans against Pervez Musharraf and PCO judges. Besides blocking the road by burning tyres they also burnd effigy of Pervez Musharraf.

Speaking on the occasion the Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaders Malik Mohammad Asif Advocate and Ex-MPA Sardar Mohammad Ali Khan criticized the decision and termed it a political rather than judicial decision and conspiracy against the democratic system in the country.

The said the decision was highly regrettable and would create more problems for the people of Pakistan.

Asif Malik said the dictators should be brought to justice besides all those hidden hands who facilitated the imposition of martial laws in the country.

Protesters demanded restoration of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and deposed judges.

They demanded resignation of Musharraf.
