Parliamentary delegation visits Vietnam

ISLAMABAD, July 2: Pakistan and Vietnam have agreed to strengthen parliamentary cooperation during meetings between the Vietnamese government and parliamentary officials and a Pakistani parliamentary delegation now visiting Hanoi.

According to an official communication received here, the delegation, headed by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam Pham Gia Khiem, who is also member of the politburo of the ruling Communist Party.

The delegation also had a meeting with the Foreign Relations Committee of the Vietnamese Parliament, headed by Ngyen Van Son.

A memorandum of understanding will be signed when a Vietnamese parliamentary delegation will visit Pakistan.

Senator Hussain invited the deputy prime minister to visit Pakistan.
