HYDERABAD: ‘Local PPP leaders grabbing land’
HYDERABAD, July 7: President Sindh People’s Youth Organisation Hyderabad Division Ahsan Abro, General Secretary Mama Rind, and Syed Akram Shah, Javed Khanzada and Kaleem Khanzada have claimed that land grabbers, some local PPP leaders, were busy occupying vacant government lands in the city.
In a joint statement issued here on Monday, office-bearers said it was quite disappointing to note that these PPP leaders were involved in this activity. Office-bearers referred to the occupation of the Colony of Sindh Industries Department in Qasimabad.
They said the plot was vacated by the help of UC Nazim, Mehboob Abro but now land grabbers were trying to re-occupy it. They appealed to PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to take action against “qabza group” and save the party from disgrace and destruction.
Call Centre: The call centre will not only enable district government to respond to complaints but will also improve service delivery, said District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil. He said the number of complaints to be reported through call centre and stored in a multiple check system would reflect the performance of government departments.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Call Centre at the Civic Centre here on Monday. District Naib Nazim Zafar Ali Rajput, DCO Ali Ahmed Lund, acting Taluka Nazim City Shabbar Chishti and Taluka Nazim Latifabad Sabir Kaimkhani also spoke.
District Nazim said the government departments can improve while complaints reported through call centres would provide an opportunity to District Nazim, DCO and EDOs and concerned officials to check whether or not complaints were attended to.
