HYDERABAD: Call for VC’s removal
HYDERABAD, July 9: The Employees Action Committee of the Sindh Agriculture University of Tandojam on Wednesday appealed to the governor and the chief minister to save the university by ridding it the unbearable of retired professors and officers, including the vice-chancellor.
The committee leaders said at a news conference at the press club here that the vice-chancellor who was working on extension after having been retired in 2004, had appointed 17 retired professors and officers including pro vice-chancellor, director finance, budget officer, principal of Z.A. Bhutto Agriculture College Dokri and many others.
They charged that three sons, a daughter and a niece of the vice-chancellor were also employed by the university in addition to his other relatives.
They accused the retired officers of destroying the only agriculture university of the province and appealed to higher authorities to remove them for the sake of the university.
