Saleh, Sajjad snatch victories in Thailand

KARACHI, July 9: Pakistan’s Saleh Mohammad made a spectacular start in the 6-Red International snooker championship by notching-up three straight wins in Bangkok, Thailand.

According to a message received here on Wednesday, Saleh stunned top England professional Mike Dunn 5-3.

The Pakistani also overpowered former junior snooker champion Atthasit Mahitti of Thailand in five straight frames.

Saleh’s third win came against Zaw Tun of Myanmar.

Pakistan’s another player Mohammad Sajjad after suffering two defeats on the opening day, showed his talent by beating world number 34 Michael Holt of England 5-3.

On the first day, Sajjad had lost to Germany’s Latro Santos and Thailand’s Schart Phoopkang with similar margins of 3-5.
