Nawaz urged to stop raising non-issues

MIRPURKHAS, July 14: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl General Secretary Senator Khalid Mehmood Soomro on Monday urged the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Mian Nawaz Sharif to stop raising non-issues because unbearable inflation was more burning issue than restoration of judiciary.

He said at a press conference that Nawaz Sharif should instead pressurise the government to control price hike, reduce fuel prices, provide jobs, end load-shedding and solve host of other problems.

Nawaz Sharif had signed charter of democracy, which clearly stated that that the judges who had taken oath under PCO would not be reinstated. The nation wanted accountability of President Pervez Musharraf and did not want to give him a safe passage, he said.

He said that his party had opposed Benazir income support programme, fearing the income meant for the deserving people might end up in wrong hands like Zakat and Baitul Mall funds.
