KARACHI, July 19: Nine ships carrying rock phosphate, crude oil and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Orient Stride, Hanjin Qingdao, Eric G. Gibson to unload and load containers, Grigorpan to offload coal, Smarty to unload DAP fertiliser, Laftah to unload and load general cargo and Quetta with crude oil were berthed on Saturday.

Sailing was also active as seven ships, AquaMarine-1, Fu Ning, Hai, Orient Stride, Kota Puri, Oel Transworld, Hyundai Admiral and Soraya departed on Saturday, while Eric G. Gibson, Quetta, Siam Pearl, Hanjin Qinggdao, Atlantica, Fatima, Bavaria Express and Manora Naree are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 138,000 tons comprising 26,340 tons of export cargo and 111,000 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Cerg and Lalazar with crude oil, Gulf Tiger and Al-Soor-2 with LSFO and high-speed diesel, Mitra Bhum and Soon Fu with containers, Sanio with rock phosphate, Nordina-G to load cement and Asia Forest with general cargo.
