HYDERABAD: Plea to reveal arrested man’s whereabouts

HYDERABAD, July 25: A woman of Khair Mohammad Shaikh village of Tando Mohammad Khan area has claimed that Tando Mohammad Khan police have arrested her uncle and his whereabouts are unknown to their family and his life could be in danger while claiming that police have also implicated her husband in a false case.

She has called upon the government to take action against the police for implicating her husband.

Addressing a news conference at the press club here on Friday, Ms Tahseen Shaikh said that on June 26, Tando Mohammad Khan police had barged into their house and arrested her husband, Abdul Sattar Shaikh, her uncle Mohammad Aslam, and brothers-in-law Juman, Bilawal, and Usman and also ransacked their house.

She said that Juman, Bilawal and Usman were released after a few days but her husband, Sattar, was implicated in a false kidnapping case and challaned in the court.

She said, however, after that there was no trace her uncle, Mohammad Aslam, who was being held incommunicado and his life could be in danger.

She said that their family had approached senior police officials but justice had not been provided to them.

She demanded that an honest police officer should be deputed to investigate the case and the whereabouts of Mohammad Aslam should be made known.
