HYDERABAD: Sewerage, water schemes for Qasimabad
HYDERABAD, July 29: Sindh Minister for Fisheries Zahid Ali Bhurgari has said that a water supply and sewerage scheme for the development of Qasimabad taluka has been submitted to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and he has called for a feasibility report from the departments concerned to lay a network of development schemes in Qasimabad.
He was addressing to an open katchehry at Qasim Park in Qasimabad on Monday.
He advised the residents of 100 ancient villages of Qasimabad as well as of katchi abadis (slums) to submit applications for the regularisation of their villages and katchi abadis so that these settlements could be regularised and proprietary rights could be given to their residents.
He said the Sindh government had lifted the ban on employments and issued advertisements inviting applications from deserving candidates to fill the vacant vacancies in different government departments.
In order to remove the confusion in the results of candidates who had passed IBA tests for appointment in the education department, scrutiny committees had been appointed in all the districts under the chairmanship of respected DCOs, the minister said.
He said that announcement would be made for 15,000 more appointments in the education department.
He directed the EDO revenue to immediately remove all encroachments on government lands in Qasimabad taluka.
EXAMS DATE: The additional controller of examinations of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro has announced for the information of all students concerned that third professional MBBS bi-annual examinations 2008, will start from August 12, at LUMHS, Chandka Medical College Larkana, Nawabshah Medical College for Girls and Ghulam Mohammad Maher Medical College Sukkur.
He has advised students to submit their examination forms before August 12 without late fees and with late fee of Rs200 before August 19.
