LARKANA: Successful Candidates seek letters

LARKANA, Aug 5: A large number of candidates who had secured 60 per cent marks in IBA-conducted test for teachers’ jobs held a demonstration at the main gate of the Circuit House, demanding offer orders.

Muhammed Ali Mangi, Fakhuruddain Kazi and Shahid Mansoor said that 157 candidates who had passed the IBA test after obtaining 60 per cent marks had been ignored. Only 181 candidates had been given offer orders, they said.

Police picked the protesters prior to the arrival of MNA Ms Faryal Talpur and whisked them away to the Civil Lines police station but they protested again after police released them.

Former MNA Anwar Bhutto and EDO education Larkana met the protesters outside the circuit house and assured them that that they would be accommodated as soon as the new Schedule of New Expenditure (SNE) was approved.

Later Ms Faryal Talpur also met the protesters and assured them that they would be given offer order within a week after the approval of SNE.
