DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two doctors shot dead in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 8: Two doctors were shot dead by unknown assailants here on Friday, police said.

In the first incident, unknown gunmen shot dead Dr Imran while he was closing his clinic located in the jurisdiction of the Cantt police station. He received several bullet wounds and died in the hospital.

In the other incident, Dr Saeed-ul-Hasan, alias Dr Deedar Shah, was murdered allegedly by two persons riding a motorbike, police said. Soon after the murders, traders pulled down their shutters and protested against the brutal killings.

Meanwhile, District Police Officer, Nasir Mahmood Satti said that roads had been blockaded and suspected vehicles and persons were being searched. He said the police strength had been further enhanced to help check the crime rate in the district.
