Call for strike on Bugti’s second death anniversary

QUETTA, Aug 25: The Baloch Republican Party and Balochistan National Party have praised the sacrifice of Nawab Akbar Bugti in the struggle for the Baloch rights.

Addressing seminars held at two places here on Monday, BRP and BNP leaders gave a call for a strike on Tuesday on the second death anniversary of Nawab Bugti.

Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldini, Habib Jalib Baloch, Dr Hayee Baloch and Javed Baloch said that during the military operation in the province, hundreds of Baloch, including Nawab Bugti and Balaach Marri, had been killed.

They said that despite their oppression, the rulers had failed to suppress the political struggle of the Baloch people.

Nawab Bugti and Balaach refused to surrender to the usurpers and preferred martyrdom.

They said the Baloch people would take the movement of the martyrs ahead and protect the motherland.

They said that Baloch political groups, despite having different views on the strategy for the struggle, were united in their determination to defeat the usurpers who had been looting the resources of Balochistan for six decades.

Meanwhile, 3,000 police personnel have been deployed in Quetta on the eve of Nawab Bugti’s death anniversary.

DIG operation Wazir Khan Nasir told a press conference that joint patrolling teams had been formed to maintain peace in the city.
