Traders give govt a few days to ease blackout
LAHORE, Aug 30: The All Pakistan Anjuman-i-Tajran has announced that traders will suspend business in case the government fails to control loadshedding in the next few days.
Anjuman Organising Committee chairman Abdul Razzaq Babar said in a statement that prolonged hours of loadshedding had been started to facilitate the sale of generators worth Rs10 billion imported by its favourites.
He said these elements had raised the prices of batteries just to increase UPS prices, but they were finding it difficult to dispose of generators owing to their high prices.
Mr Babar said such elements had now arranged excessive loadshedding to force the people to purchase generators or the UPS.
