Contract for import of wheat awarded

KARACHI, Sept 1: The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has awarded a contract for import of 80,000 tons of wheat to the lowest bidder.

The TCP had received 15 bids against its tender offer made on Aug 7. The bids were opened on Aug 30 and Agrocrop International of Singapore had offered the lowest bid at $371.75 c&f Karachi.

The TCP has already finalised contracts for import of 1,516,000 tons wheat from worldwide sources.

The TCP is making efforts to ensure smooth supply of wheat to government designated stations, says a press release.
