Pakistan TT squad to vie in India

KARACHI, Sept 3: An eight-member Pakistan team leaves for Lahore on way to Mumbai by train on Saturday to compete in the ITTF world juniors’ table tennis tournament India Open being held at Pune from Sept 11 to 14.

The squad picked after a series of trials consists of four boys and as many girls. They are currently undergoing training in the camp at PSB Coaching Centre in the city.

The players will be accompanied by the two North Korean coaches and an official.

Meanwhile, the organisers has also invited Pakistan’s international umpire Saleem Ahmed.

Team:

Boys: Abdul Raheem, Faheem Raza (U-18); Salman Ahmed Virk, Mohammad Rameez (U-15).

Girls: Ayesha Khan, Mubeen Hanif (U-18); Abeera Ali, Sana Erum (U-15).

Officials: Kim Song, Ri Hwang (coaches). Abdul Aziz (manager).
