HYDERABAD: Admission to Badin college from 30th

HYDERABAD, Sept 24: The University of Sindh on Wednesday announced that admission to BEd, MEd and MA education under evening programme at the Sindh University Laar College of Badin would start on Sept 30.

According to a notification, the candidates having BA, BSc, BCom or BA Education degrees with at least 45 per cent marks, are eligible to apply for admission to Bed and the candidates having BEd or BA Education (Hon) degrees with at least 45 per cent marks are eligible to apply for admission to MEd.

It said that the candidates having BA, BSc, and BCom degrees with at least 45 per cent marks were eligible to apply for admission to MA Education.

Admission forms could be obtained from the branch of HBL Old Campus or from the office of principal of Sindh University Laar College Badin from Sept 30.

Last date for submission of forms at the college had been fixed as Nov 20 and the regular classes would start with effect from Jan 1, 2009, the notification said.

NEW COURSE: The University of Sindh has decided to introduce a course of innovation and entrepreneurship in the new academic session of 2009 at different levels in public administration and economics under the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by the university’s vice chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed a letter from the chairman of Higher Education Commission for introducing a course of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country’s universities.

The dean of Faculty of Social Sciences informed that a meeting of the heads of faculty agreed to the proposal and decided to introduce innovation and entrepreneurship courses in the Departments of Economics and Public Administration in the first phase.

The meeting also was attended among others by pro-vice chancellor Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar and Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar.
