Tehran sends N-protest to EU

TEHRAN: Iran’s nuclear negotiator Said Jalili has written to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana to protest over the West’s attitude to the Islamic republic’s atomic programme, a senior Iranian official said on Monday.

“In the letter, Mr Jalili complains of the attitude of the West and says their approach has harmed the constructive process of negotiations between the two parties,” the official said, declining to be named.

The letter was to be delivered to Solana by Iran’s ambassador in Brussels, and copies were to go to the foreign ministers of the five UN Security Council permanent members — Britain, China, France, Russia and United States — plus Germany.
