HYDERABAD: Sindh varsity gets new IT lab

HYDERABAD, Oct 7: The department of zoology, University of Sindh, has established a modern computer laboratory to facilitate its students and teachers engaged in research projects.

The laboratory was formally inaugurated by the vice-chancellor of the Sindh University, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, on Tuesday.

A large number of faculty members and students of the department were present on the occasion. The vice-chancellor appreciated the efforts of the department in setting up the laboratory.

“We are living in the modern age of computer technology,” Mr Siddiqui said.

The chairman of the zoology department, Dr Shamsuddin Shaikh, in his briefing informed the vice-chancellor that the computer laboratory had been established through the department’s own resources. He said that a schedule had been prepared according to which students would be allowed to use the computer laboratory.

DEAN: The vice-chancellor of the Sindh University, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, assigned Professor Dr Sanaullah Bhutto to fill in the office of the dean, faculty of Islamic Studies, till the appointment of a new dean for the faculty.
