Students stage rally against power cut

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 10: The students of government primary school Chohan Colony Moro took out a rally against Hesco on Friday. The protesting students also staged a demonstration opposite the office of the executive engineer of Hesco.

They complained that school’s electricity was disconnected about a month ago when transformer went out of order. They said, they made several complaints to Hesco officials at Moro but they did not restore power as yet by neither getting the transformer repaired nor replacing it.

The protesters said that the education of the students was affected due to power disconnection.

Later, the protesters reached opposite press club. The head master and the students appealed to the higher Hesco officials to intervene into the matter.

COMPUTER THEFT: Around 400 students and teachers, led by head master of a government high school, took out a rally in Tharushah on Friday, to protest against police.

The students of Government High School Tharushah, led by head master Sadaruddin Dahraj and a number of teachers took out a rally from the school which reached opposite Tharushah police station where they staged a sit-in for about half an hour.

They complained that six computers were stolen from the school on Wednesday night, sniffing dogs were arranged and Rs15,000 were also paid for dogs.

They said that the dogs led the police to Ahmed Dahiri Village from where police arrested Nazir Dahiri and Qadan Dahiri but neither the computers were recovered nor police lodged an FIR into the matter.

The protesters complained that police were not cooperating with them, therefore, they had come out on the road.
