Six suspects held in Zhob

QUETTA, Oct 12: Six suspected extremists were arrested in the border town of Zhob, some 380km north of here, on Sunday.

According to sources, Frontier Corps personnel raided a small hotel near the main bus-stand and arrested the six who were residing there.

A senior government official said that the suspects were handed over to the authorities concerned for interrogation.

He said that the six were Pakistanis who had recently come from South Waziristan.

The sources denied having found any suicide jackets or weapons in their rooms.

They might have links with Pakistani Taliban in Fata.

“We can say anything about their motives only after the investigation,” the sources said.
