KARACHI, Oct 17: Three ships to load/offload containers, rice and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage. Seven ships, Saudi Hofuf, Jima Kost, Ataqa, Giorgis Milas, Transport, Mariann and Ocala, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, cement, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 46,166 tons comprising 40,611 tons of import and 5,555 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Evenir and Saudi Hofuf sailed out while Ataqa was expected to depart.
