Kashmiris protest occupation

SIALKOT, Oct 27: The Kashmiris living in Sialkot staged a rally on Monday in protest against the completion of 61 years of Indian army’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

In Sialkot, thousands of Kashmiris attended the rally, led by Sialkot District Coordination Officer Capt Atta Muhammad Khan (retired). Participants had banners and placards inscribed with anti-India slogans and chanted slogans against the invasion.

Addressing a Kashmir Conference, Central Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement Dr Zahid Ghani Dar said he was concerned at rising human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the Kashmiris by the Indian army in the Valley.

He said the international community must react to these violations and the United Nation must ensure early implementation of its resolutions to resolve the dispute.

He said the peaceful solution to the dispute would bring a sustainable peace in the subcontinent.
