HYDERABAD: SU admission test on Nov 2
HYDERABAD, Oct 29: The University of Sindh will hold test for admissions to all disciplines under bachelors degree programme on Sunday, November 2 at Allama I.I. Kazi campus in Jamshoro.
The Director Admissions has announced that those candidates who have not yet received their admit cards through Postal or courier service can collect admit cards up to November 1 from counters set up at Sindh University Model School Hyderabad.
He has further announced that point buses for candidates to facilitate them would ply from Old Campus Hyderabad via Market, City gate, while from Latifabad via Qasim Chok and from Qasimabad, Nasim Chok via Ponam Petrol Pump by 7.30 am for Jamshoro.
APTITUDE TEST: Institute of Art and Design University of Sindh on Wednesday conducted aptitude test for admissions to Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) Part-I for the academic session 2009.
100 candidates appeared in the aptitude test, written test and interviews. The aptitude test of remaining 182 candidates will be conducted on November 3.
The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh, accompanied by Director of the Institute and the Registrar inspected the arrangements.
The candidates who appeared in the test can check their results at official website www.usindh.edu.pk.
HSC EXAMS: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, has announced that the Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II (Class-XII) supplementary examinations will be held from November 4.
VC, SAU: The vice chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, Dr Abdul Qadir Mughal, has cautioned teachers and students that Pakistan is far legging behind in the field of development and if they do not change their attitude towards their institution, the people will have to face hunger and poverty.
He was addressing teachers, students and employees during his visit to central library and experimental farms on Tuesday.
In order to meet the food requirements of the country, complete transformation is required in the agriculture sector and it was incumbent on the research scholars to accelerate the pace of their research, the vice chancellor said.
He pointed out that it was not easy to establish universities and added that it required hard work of years together and many a sleepless night to establish a university.
The right place for the university teachers and the students are libraries and “I will do everything possible to provide ultramodern facilities at the libraries”, the vice chancellor said and added that latest international journals and books will be made available for the teachers and the students.
He pointed out that the underground water resources in Pakistan were absolutely insufficient to meet the requirements of agriculture sector.
