SUKKUR: Time needed to solve problems: minister

SUKKUR, Nov 6: Sindh Minister for Social Welfare Nargis N.D. Khan has said that the government cannot solve all the problems persisting for the last nine years within six months or a year and it will take time.

Addressing an open katchery in Public Park, Ghotki, on Thursday, she said that the government was striving to provide relief to common man despite financial crisis and added that the government would soon be able to fulfil its commitment.

The minister said that positive efforts taken by President Asif Ali Zardari would help pull out the country from present financial crisis.

Terming the president’s recent visit to China a great success, the minister said that China was their time-tested friend and would surely help Pakistan in this time of crisis.

She said that Friends of Pakistan would also extend helping hand to the country to enable it to overcome financial crisis.

On this occasion, hundreds of people complained about hours-long load shedding, declining standard of education and lack of sanitation and civic amenities in their areas.

A large number of women presented applications to the minister, who issued on-the-spot orders on some of them and promised to look into others.
