Grenade attack on pro-India Kashmiri leader

SRINAGAR, Nov 12: A senior leader of a pro-India political party in occupied Kashmir escaped unhurt on Wednesday after a grenade lobbed by suspected pro-independence militants exploded nearby.

The attack took place in Srinagar when Mubarak Gul, a senior leader of the National Conference, was inside the home of a party worker, said Sajad Ahmed, a local police officer.—AP
